Thanks to Nefarius who has maintained the "Boo! -=OneLife=-" gameserver and ventrilo server up continuously for something like ten months now? He's a busy guy - go check out the Trade Wars 2002 server he set up. "Trade Wars" is the most addictive science-fiction game ever developed since the dawn of computing - it's a whole world of interaction, trading, fighting, and empire building. Like FTF, you can go solo, but it's far better to coop with a couple other players (form a "corporation"). And deceptively simple, since it's a TEXT game. Try it!!! I've been playing since 1990 and I still have to fight the addiction...

The Washington Post wrote an article about the neglect and frustration our armed services members are facing during rehab from their war wounds. If you like you can read about it here:

Setting politics aside I found this information on some things WE can do to assist them. Please donate if you can afford too.
The Medical Family Assistance Center advised that what the soldiers needed right now. Any type of calling card (international is a high priority) and black backpacks would be greatly appreciated. If you can help, send them to:
Walter Reed Army Medical Center
Medical Family Assistance Center BLDG. 2, Third Floor, Room 3E01.
6900 Georgia Ave NW
Washington, DC 20307
I also found this on a National Guard Website:
How can I donate items to military personnel being treated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center?
Troops who are medevaced to Walter Reed Army Medical Center usually arrive in a medical gown so all clothing they will need during their treatment, recovery and at discharge needs to be supplied to them. Some clothing articles are in short supply.
Items need to support troops at Walter Reed Medical Center:
Breakaway sweat pants (these have snaps going down the legs and are useful since they can cover casts and braces)
Zippered sweatshirts (zippers allow them to be used by soldiers with head injuries or limited mobility)
Phone cards
Postage stamps
Any items for female soldiers to include sport bras and undergarments (articles for female soldiers are often in short supply)
Black back packs or small black bags
Coats
aloha,
Reaze

Help them out, if you can. Write a letter to a soldier, at least.
I saw this article, but almost couldn't believe what I was reading it was so surreal. Someone in the DC area should go visit and check it out for us...
Thanks, Reaze!
