Fridays nights game: MOA_Intell, A_Baked_Bean, Dr. Zaius, Tank, Sgt. Kimo, Reaze, and I'd like to introduce you all to my old gaming buddy, Nefarius. Nef and I have been gaming together (since, what, 2000?) playing old-school text based games (that we've been playing since 1991 or so) and this is the first time we've ever done FPS together. Friday night was his first in the game and we got a chance to walk him through a little bit of it and acclimate him to all the lead flying around. Unfortunately, a lot of that lead was mine as I TK'ed him TWICE. Ooops. At least it's "friendly" fire. This was also the first time we actually got to TALK. Ventrilo certainly ROCKS. If you don't have it, take two minutes and go to ventrilo.com and get it.
I'm real proud of this one. I managed to secure an OPFOR in the middle of a firefight... with guys shooting at me from both sides of the street!
So what the first thing I do when Nef gets into the game? Blow him in half with the tank.

However, two of these are not quite correct. The one labeled "television" should be "I want team A to take up flanking positions while laying down covering fire for team B who will be moving up by twos to lay down a beaten zone until my signal at which point fire will converge upon the objective". The one labeled "book" should be "Wing it".
I'm off to work, but as soon as I can get my butt outta there I'm shipping off to Beirut to win some hearts and minds. Or fill them full of copper-jacketed democracy.
