Hooray! Had an open game this afternoon and went from American University to the first round with the press tallying a total of 240 kills! Nine levels without being killed by opfor. Although, at the end of Am U where we move into the library I was screwing around at the end - I called the airstrike on the bunker and started chucking grendaes. Oooops. Had a bad toss and got my only death when the level was already OVER. Would have been a new all time high for me. Damn.

I got some pictures of the magic doorway... but we'll save those for a slow day.
The pword game in the evening was Buzz and myself. It seems everyone else has a life. Buzz and I started in Forn Ech Chebbek (the fish market) and made it all the way to the level where Qadan runs across the intersection. Since I was getting tired I asked Buzz if we could quit for the night - so we rush the junction. Made it all the way to the tunnel where Qadan runs to and guess who we find? This kept us entertained for another hour and a half... rushing the tunnel and taking pictures.
We put enough lead into him that if he could die, we would have gotten him. I put half an AK clip into him at one point, several body shots with my sniper rifle, and Buzz got two or three good grenade hits, a boatload of SAW ammo and a number of direct 203 hits. If you look in the picture below you'll see Buzz doing a suicide run with a grenade. The nade went off right next to Qadan and you can see him still standing while Buzz goes flying.
It was a lot of fun, though. I did manage to dig in at the tunnel long enough to get the checkpoint. I then managed to rush ALL the way through the tunnels tripping 2-3 more checkpoints before I came out of the tunnels, past the ammo box and up the stairs to the final tunnel - made it there when the clock said 2:41. No checkpoint for me that time, just lots of pissed OPFOR and a voice telling me not to leave the op area. Thanks, Buzz! That was a blast.
