Welcome to Boo's Close Combat:First to Fight BLOG

Since I spend so many hours of my life playing the game, I wanted to create a forum to share with the many cool people I've teamed with. Ideally, I'd like to create a walkthrough for the game.

Close Combat:First to Fight
by Destineer and Macsoft

I played America's Army for about a year, and when I stopped having convienent acess to a PC I stopped with FPS. Last fall I purchased a used MAC G4 and with it, a copy of DOOM III. Being a big fan of DOOM I and II, I thought this would be a fun way to burn a few hours. While shopping for Doom, I saw a FPS that looked awfully like AA. The software came in, I played Doom once, and then made the mistake of trying CC:FTF. I have removed the CD from my computer only a few times since then - it's easier just to dedicate my drive to the disk, instead of taking it out.

I've searched the web for any references to this game and it looks like an orphan title. After one update, nothing new has appeared about the game. The offical forums look abandoned (aside from a random newbie posting) and yet there is a reasonable group of players searching for games.

I found the best way to find a game with the options that I like was to host the game. So, every night I put up a game called:

Boo! -=OneLife=-

Why? My game name is Boo. Like if you were to jump out of the shadows and yell "BOO" to scare someone.

I used to play multiple life, but my gaming experience would be a flood of rushers running from behind me, around a corner ahead, and then die in a blaze of bullets. The next thing I'd see would be the same guy repeating the same movements, dying a few feet further into opfor. Repeat. And again. Playing one life makes you move carefully and actually TRY to stay alive. When people would join my game, they would play like John Rambo for 30 seconds, die, then whine about how the game sucked without more lives. So I named the game One Life to try and weed out the crazies, kiddies, and the impatient.
